James’ passion for construction and development, combined with a flair for design, led him to establish Portfolio Group in 2004. Prior to founding Portfolio Group, James fine-tuned his property expertise by working for large Brisbane-based property developers across the residential, commercial, industrial and hotel markets. James was responsible for managing large, complex projects as a Development Manager for Meridien and FKP, and as a Building Contractor for Watpac.

Since 1994, James has been active in the Queensland and Northern New South Wales markets and holds an open Builders Licence in both states, which permits him to build any size or type of building on an unrestricted basis. James is tertiary-qualified, achieving Honours in a Bachelor of Applied Science (Construction Management) from QUT.

Paul Hanson is Portfolio Group’s site manager and has over twenty-five years of experience in the construction industry. Paul’s prime area of expertise is the residential market with a particular focus on high-end houses and unit developments. He provides our buyers with after-settlement support at all times. Providing an extra layer of assistance over and above our quality building contractors that we use to deliver our projects.
